The End of a Dream
Whenever I wake up,
and the mist of slumber still reigns,
I glance around in fear
on what this dream might be.
So compelling it beckons to dread,
that I could only feel icicles
and coldness in my body.
Shivering oddly
wanting it this time to be real.
