My Exhibit At Now Gallery

10032012 It's a memorable day. RA 10175 took effect and I am caught up in updating my disclosures and compilations. It's now the law and we as citizens should abide by our regulations. We can prevent it and be vigilant when it's being passed but once it's in effect we can hardly avoid it. I do think all the effort was wasted with the additions. It contradicts too much with freedom of expression. Now that RA 10175 is in effect we follow our Laws. Not re-elect them? Hardly, we hold them all accountable even if they are still in office, they lose the election or before they can be candidates at all. By their admission that they did not read the provisions at all then we must file a case on each one of them on neglect, economic sabotage and/or treason! There is no part of the law that could be taken in portions. Wait for the IRR? Until it is taken down we have it as the Philippine Law RA 10175. The Morning After

10172012 Another month seems to pass quickly, playing catching up becomes much more challenging. I gained more friends and lost some. The month of October 2012 started upbeat with politics playing and some revelations. I took them all in stride and concentrated on the things I could change for the better. I found that I had a lot of time to myself to paint, think and write my thoughts, nowadays. I cherish these moments. I am quite clear about my goals and the residencies I want to take next year. Preparing for my exhibitions to come is reachable and conclusive. I am working with drawings and acrylic paintings. I am satisfied with my studies and I plan, by next year, to have several shows with them. I have worked with acrylics and oil years back and they seem to come naturally for me to work with and to explore on. Now that most artists in the Philippines have worked with assistants in some manner, I found solace in a redemption that I could paint better working alone with my

Older But Not Wiser This Sunday

Older But Not Wiser This Sunday May 7, 2011, 11:51 pm ****05082011 I figured now is the time to write again. Something to think about on this eventful day of another Manny Pacquiao awakening!!!! Congratulations Manny on being floored!!! Referee and opponent Mosely stinks!!! 12 rounds and going strong but not strong enough to knock out a good friend down on even grounds!!!! This time Manny gives another person career and stellar lights in keeping Shane Mosely up and not down. I visited an exhibit of an artist friend Jonathan Ching and Blanc Mandaluyong and it was so so. Ching is already a veteran of exhibits locally and abroad. Quite a feat. He has the sophistication and experience of an older artist with a time-proven formula. Discipline and tenacity. Add a bit of sugar still a bit too bland. I guess the deal was did Jonathan Ching get his act right on time? We get older and sometimes wiser just riding the waves and not going against it. It will be a comfortable ride from her
