A New Morning

We face a new morning and another dawn never knowing what is in store for us. What we take for granted might suddenly be gone the next day. As we reminiscence the loss in parting of one of the staunchest pillars of the art community that is Santiago Bose, we remember what he always stood for. A renowned and great Filipino Artist, mentor, confidante, father, partner and friend. The best that a Filipino artist could be is himself, his own anting-anting. What he leaves with us in his death are memories, his laughter, a brand of humor, jokes, brilliance, simplicity, integrity, kindness, righteousness and most of all humanness. For Santi, as we hope to remember him always, stood up for all the uniqueness a person and an artist could be. Our regret is that he left too soon but as Santiago Bose was always on the move, we just can never really catch up.
